dential applications with two-year labor re-
placement. Commercial installations have a
25-year product-only warranty.
LP's SmartSide products all come with a
5/50 warranty. "Five is everything," Marsh
explains. "We include labor and paint. If
there is a product failure due to a manufac-
turing defect in the first five years, LP will
replace the product and cover the expense of
labor and painting to the get the homeowner
back to the finished job. Beyond that, it's a
50-year warranty for product failure/manu-
facturing defects. I think other things would
decompose first and need to be replaced, or
they will become dated. You'd end up re-
placing windows during that length of our
warranty. We believe in the longevity of our

"If at any point something happens, you get all
