Stone veneer provides contemporary aesthetic BORAL expands its Versetta Stone lineup with Carved Block. A profile reminiscent of split-face stone, the Carved Block stones range from 16- to 20-in. wide by 8-in. tall, ultimately orienting across a 36- by 8-in. panel. The larger stone format comes in two colors: Midnight is a dark gray hue with almond tones, and Sea Salt is a blend of beige and khaki. Panels install with nails or screws, feature an integrated moisture manage- ment system, and carry a Class A fire resistance rating. The SoftList material estimator, which debuted with SoftPlan 2018, generates a live material list, providing automatic updates as a user designs and revises, as well as accurate feedback on material quantities. Its "live schedules" feature automatically updates as items are edited on a drawing or the 3-D model. With the introduction of path trace rendering and enhanced photon mapping, the software generates realistic 3-D imagery, and its 3-D preview window updates in real time. Complementing the brand's original SoundBreak XP board, the sound-dampening solution for existing structures can be installed over an existing interior gypsum board wall.
