The product—available in eight multitonal col- ors that emulate natural hardwoods —consists of a solid wood-composite core that prevents splintering, cracking, insect infestation and decay, and it features a four-sided cap layer that resists staining and fading. "We can give them the premium look of wood with a warranty for aesthetics for up to 25 years, which wood can't approach," says Bill Ross, sales director for Fiberon. "The product is available in 12-, 16- and 20-foot lengths too; wood is not available in 20-foot lengths, and 16-foot lengths are premium." The manufacturer produces Composite Cladding in two different styles: Horizon and Symmetry. "Horizon has more of a stylized, deep embossed graining, kind of like weathered or sand-blasted wood," Ross says. "Symmetry is actually a laser-etched embossing, so it is extremely realistic." "What differentiates these two products is they are embossed on both sides, so they're abso- lutely reversible," Ross explains. "Each side has a different pattern to it, and that can help with creating greater degrees of realism than what would be common with most other products on the market." Fiberon cladding contains 94 percent recycled content, which includes recycled plastics and lumber mill scraps. No toxic chemicals or fin- ishing products are used, and no carcinogens are released during cutting. | More Composite FIBERON Composite Cladding contains a solid wood-composite core and features a four-sided cap layer that resists staining and fading.
