Kitchens More Than $150,000 T he homeowners and architect devised a plan to swap the kitchen and living room spaces and work within the existing 741-sq.-ft. footprint. A col- umn of windows replaced the former chimney and provides a centered, uplifting feeling around the kitchen sink. Upper cabinets beside the sink windows echo the soaring theme. Te chestnut island top unites the foor and beams to create a trifecta of wood that juxtaposes the white cab- inets and counters.
