SILVER LANDIS ARCHITECTS/BUILDERS WASHINGTON, D.C. landisconstruction.com Project name: Attic Master Suite Location: Washington, D.C. Square footage: 650 Project cost: $220,000 T his remodel took the master suite in the 1923 home from 600 to 700 sq. ft. by moving into the previous attic space. Te team removed the wood paneling on the walls and ceiling, and pushed the existing wall back so it had a lower height around the perimeter. Te room has two dormers with windows and a skylight, several of which were replaced with larger units to maximize daylight. Custom clerestory glass panels wrap around the corner of the bathroom enclosure to allow light to fow from the dormers and skylight into the bathroom; the door is frosted to main- tain privacy but still allow natural light. Te large marble-walled and foored shower has ft- tings on opposite ends. Horizontal chrome bands lend a more modern touch, as does the ice blue tile accent and long drain. Two closets in the eaves ofer additional storage. Te HVAC system is located in the eaves. | BRONZE Associates in Building and Design, Fort Collins, Colo. abd-ltd.com Room Remodel 42 September 2015 QR QualifiedRemodeler.com The Speed You Need Regardless of the job or project, you don't want a construction adhesive to slow you down.
