Te Vertex 100 Power Direct Vent 50-gal.
Gas Water Heater boasts a 96 percent ther-
mal efciency rating and delivers water at
a constant fow of 4 gal. per minute. Te
heater is equipped with a 100,000-Btu gas
burner and has a recovery rate of 129 gal.
per hour. A helical spiral heat exchanger
positioned in the center of the tank for
even heat distribution keeps hot combus-
tion gases in the tank longer to lengthen
the heat transfer cycle.
Vents use PVC, CPVC, ABS or polypro-
pylene for fexibility and eliminating the
expense of metal venting. An LCD screen
with a navigation menu provides unit op-
erating information, diagnostics and tem-
perature control. Te iCOMM compatibil-
ity enables the heater to be monitored from
remote locations. Te ultra-low NOx burn-
er complies with South Coast Air Quality
Management District Rule 1121 (Control
of Nitrogen Oxides from Residential Type,
Natural Gas-fred Water Heaters) and other
air quality management districts with sim-
ilar requirements for NOx emissions of less
than 10 ng/j. Additional features include
a condensate outlet and commercial-grade
PermaGlas Ultra Coat glass lining.

TRUTANKLESS
Te trutankless units can provide 7.5 gal. per minute, which
is enough hot water for a house with up to four bathrooms,
thanks to the company's Velix technology, which heats water
as it fows through 24 linear ft. of heating element. Te
length, coupled with a horizontal orientation and ceramic
thermal insulation, maximizes output, ensures the element
does not overheat and isn't compromised by mineral build-
up. Te technology also allows hot water to fow through
multiple faucets/fxtures simultaneously with no decrease
in water pressure or output. Accuracy also is a feature; the
fow meter ensures water is delivered within 1 F of the
desired temperature. At 24 in. wide and 5½ in. deep, the
water heaters can save up to 9 sq. ft. of space compared to
tank water heaters that store 40 to 80 gal. of water.
Te easy-to-install electric unit also integrates with
home automation systems and has apps for iOS and
