Bathroom $50,000-$75,000 GOLD S&W KITCHENS Longwood, Fla. sandwkitchens.com Project name: Contemporary Vintage Project location: Orlando, Fla. Square footage before: 86 Square footage after: 101 Project cost: $66,500 e homeowner requested a bathroom on the second floor, where one did not exist beforehand, and desired to maintain the contemporary yet vintage feel of the house. Installing a shower, tub, toilet and sink area necessitated the removal of a closet wall. e client also wanted to retain the original windows, so a frosted overlay was added to the bottom of each unit for privacy and code compliance. Repurposing the existing door and hardware enabled the newfound space to resemble the rest of the older home. Plumbing and electrical elements, such as a night-light built into the mirror, help create a spa-like experience. Other notable features include an aqua glider shower door with low iron glass to minimize the green tint, and a wall-to-wall niche in the shower for storing bathing products.
