One-component polyurethane foam sealants TITEBOND has developed a line of one-component polyurethane foam sealants that use less prod- uct to produce a more durable seal. The line of WeatherMaster X-Treme foam sealants includes a multi-purpose foam, a window and door foam, and a fireblock foam. It also includes a heavy-duty dispenser gun and multi-purpose cleaner to remove uncured sealant and keep the gun operable. All three can cure in temperatures from 0 to 100 F; they also achieved GreenGuard Gold Certification. With a 3-in. depth, the frame can be used for new construction and replacement window applications for operable acrylic block or decorative glass windows. The frame comes in white, tan or driftwood with hardware color matches to the frame selection. The Breeze-Lite frame has a nail fin offset of 1 in. (with the ability to rip fins for replacement applications). Anti- corrosion hardware and screens are included with each frame. Circle 9 on inquiry card Mineral wool insulation JOHNS MANVILLE mineral wool insulation offers a variety of performance benefits in commercial and residential construction. With a high melting point in excess of 2,000 F, mineral wool can help delay fire spread, cre- ate quieter buildings and homes, increase pri- vacy between rooms, and reduce heating and cooling costs by keeping structures warm in winter and cool in summer. The compa- ny's line of mineral wool products includes TempControl Batts and Sound & Fire Block Batts. Circle 7 on inquiry card New line of roofing underlayments DUPONT PROTECTION SOLUTIONS launches a new line of roofing underlayments, DuPont Tyvek Protec, that is part of the Tyvek family of building envelope products. Tyvek Protec is suitable for use by professional roofing and exteriors contractors in new construction or reroofing projects as a secondary water barrier on steep-sloped roofs (2:12 or higher) under asphalt shingle, tile, metal, cedar or slate. With its walkability, the underlayment enables effective installation regardless of weather conditions. In addition, it lays flat, is easy to chalk and is wrinkle-free for ease of installation. Circle 6 on inquiry card Installation hanger for vinyl siding GLIDE-LOCK MFG. INC. 's installation hanger for vinyl siding will eliminate buckling, warping and up to category 5 wind blow off. The ASTM-tested hanger snaps into the top course of the siding, right behind the nailing flange, and holds it tight without a nail through the siding itself. The hanger fastens to the wall with a 2.5-in. exterior screw (or Tapcon if siding over masonry), creating six times more attachment contact over standard nails and allows the sid- ing panel to move freely. The hanger also holds the siding away from the substrate Ƈ-in., creating a rain screen with- out having to use furring strips. Circle 5 on inquiry card Wider zinc sheets VMZINC-US announces its partner, RapidMaterials, offers 49.2-in.-wide zinc sheets. Available in 0.8-mm-thick coils, the expanded 49.2- by 120-in. zinc sheets are equal to 4 ft. in width. The size enables efficient installation with less waste and is suitable for interior projects, including countertops, to achieve a flat, seamless aesthetic.
