Boasting the same appearance as their single- profile counterparts, the double-4-in. and double-6-in. beadboard profiles offer twice the coverage area to reduce installation time. Manufactured with a blend of proprietary polymers and fly ash, Boral TruExterior Beadboard avoids the prob- lems plaguing wood, such as rotting, cupping and twisting. It is low main- tenance; dimensionally stable; and resistant to moisture, cracking or splitting and termites. e workable material can be used in moisture-prone areas and does not require edge-sealing. Due to the product's dimensional stability, it provides additional time savings for soffits: e beadboard can be installed 24 in. on center with no support backing and it can run parallel to the house, eliminating the need to cut and fasten endless short pieces perpendicularly, which is often required with PVC materials.
