Columbus, Ohio A Special Congratulations KohlMark Group was the National Winner for Detached Outbuilding. The site was a steep ridge with no level surfaces to park cars. The homeowners wanted space for four cars but were concerned the covered parking structure would detract from the natural setting and block views through the trees to the nearby lake. They also hoped to use the areas for family gatherings. The end result of timber-framed pavilions anchored with natural stone bases complement the main home and blend with the setting. Steeply pitched roofs match the adjacent hillsides, and each timber frame is symmetrical by itself, with the other pavilion and with the custom home.
