"Now when you enter, if the doors are closed, you have
a secluded area separated from the living room," notes
Rossington. "But if it is open, then it is sort of a wide open
space. We created visual interest and connection from
the entry to the living room, but allowed for separation
at the same time."

A COMPLETE SOLUTION
Te large box bay expanded the house by approximate-
ly 95 sq. ft., but it feels like a lot more than that, says
Rossington. Te additional space with new windows feels
bigger and lives bigger. For a single price, Rossington
also redesigned the master bathroom and a secondary
bathroom in addition to the exterior makeover. All in
all, the clients paid $325,000, which, considering the
extent of what was accomplished, is a reasonable price.
Other items renovated or added include: new exterior
lighting, a new set of stairs, a new awning structure over
the stairs, and inside the entry, a new Asian-infuenced
