corpor ate notes SAKRETE® is a leader in concrete and concrete-related products and continues to provide revolutionary products to the building and remodeling industry. Two of its newer products are SAKRETE® MAXIMIZER® and SAKRETE® Flo-Coat. SAKRETE® MAXIMIZER® Concrete is a specially formulated high-strength, highyield concrete that provides 67 percent more coverage by volume than typical concrete mixes, which allows jobs to get done more quickly and easily. MAXIMIZER® features a specially manufactured aggregate material and higher volume of cement. It provides excellent workability, is air entrained for improved freeze/thaw resistance and exceeds applicable provisions of ASTM C387. MAXIMIZER® is a more uniform, easy-tomix blend and is 40 percent stronger than regular concrete. One 80-pound bag of MAXIMIZER® yields 1 cubic ft. of 5,500 psi concrete while one 80-pound bag of regular concrete mix yields .6 cubic ft. of 3,500 psi concrete. It's ideal for elevated slabs and walkways or anywhere a typical concrete mix can be used, such as patios, driveways, curbs and posts. SAKRETE® Flo-Coat is a highly flowable material for resurfacing large areas of concrete and is a great alternative to expensive concrete replacement. It makes old, worn concrete look like new and can be applied in a flowable consistency using a squeegee or in a stiffer consistency using a trowel. ® SAKRETE Flo-Coat is designed for applications from ½-inch down to a featheredge and is polymer-modified for superior bonding strength. It's ideal for resurfacing concrete walks, slabs, driveways and patios that may have been damaged or spalled from age or weather. New Packaging SAKRETE® is in the process of rolling out its new packaging that focuses on a simplistic design with larger icons, larger font, application photos and an increased emphasis on product benefits, making it more userfriendly than before. This was accomplished without losing key historical elements, like the SAKRETE® yellow diamond on a black background that consumers have recognized and trusted for more than 75 years. These packaging improvements are taking place across the entire SAKRETE® product line. SAKRETE® conducted research with consumers to determine the key packaging elements that they were looking for to help them in their product purchase. Focused primarily on the professional, but with key elements that will help the DIYer, the nationally consistent packaging is designed to inform the end user of all relevant information at the time of purchase. This also helps retailers sell the products more effectively. For more information circle 84 The new packaging is being introduced in phases. The first phase rolled out in the summer of 2012 and will continue through 2013 as existing inventories are exhausted. Therefore, timing on the new packaging will differ for various products. SAKRETE® products are manufactured at more than 45 plants throughout North America within its network of licensees.  The SAKRETE® brand is owned and managed by Bonsal American Inc., an Oldcastle company.  Bonsal American is headquartered in Charlotte, N.C.  For additional information about SAKRETE® call 1-800-738-1621 or visit www.sakrete.com.
